Leesburg, Fla. – At 8 p.m.June.10 at Viaport Mall, the 12th Annual Cops and Kids Day will be held. Bring your kids down to experience fun activities while learning about motor safety. The goal of the event is to bring awareness to the community about motor safety and how you can break the cure of motor accidents.
This event will host 20 police motorcycle officers and deputies. The event is also brought to the community by the help of many volunteers.
The activities will include a motorcycle agility course, climbing a rock wall, bouncy house, Dunk a Deputy, face painting, and Star Wars characters to meet. A bicycle safety course with a child safety seat checkpoint will also be available.
All the proceeds will help raise funds for local charities, such as March of Dimes that was presented last year. Donations will be available to the Lake County Sherriff’s Office Charities; other merchandise will be sold to help support the charities.
