EUSTIS – Lake County Deputies uncovered a body that was buried at 21004 Parkcrest Drive in Eustis after receiving a tip on Thursday.
Detectives and Lake County Sheriff’s CSI Unit began searching the property on Thursday and continued on Friday. The body was found Friday and turned over to the Medical Examiner’s Office in order to identify a cause of death.
Detectives have not yet identified the remains however, they believe it may belong to the homeowner of the property, 94-year-old Melvin Kort, who was reported missing by an out-of-state relative back in July.
Kort lived at the property along with his two daughters.
