VIA Entertainment Introduces Southern Style Buffet

LEESBURG – If you have been to VIAPort lately you may have noticed a few changes. But did you notice the new southern style buffet?

VIA Entertainment took over the old Target space adding many new options for locals to relax, have fun and let loose. What once used to house racks of clothing and housewares, is now home to thousands of square feet of arcade games, bowling lanes, and even a sports bar.

Although you may think burgers and beers when you think sports bar, this particular bar has something that sets it aside from others around town. Formerly operated by Cousin Vinnie’s Grill, the sports bar was taken over on July 1st. Of the many changes made since then, you can now come in Monday through Friday and enjoy lunch from their southern style buffet.

We joined General Manager Richie Ruiz for lunch on Monday morning and tried one of their main courses.

Monday’s entree: Meatloaf along with green bean casserole, macaroni & cheese, southern mashed potatoes, and gooey pumpkin cake.

Each day there is a different main course paired perfectly with side dishes that compliment it well. Monday’s entree was meatloaf. As we browsed the buffet, the first thing that amazed me was the price of the lunch compared to the selection.

The lunch buffet is only $6.99 per person and you get to select anything from the buffet. I started the meal off with a small Ceasar Salad and one of the best cups of Beef Barley Soup I have ever had. I followed it with a healthy portion of meatloaf, homemade southern mashed potatoes with gravy, green bean casserole, and macaroni & cheese ending with a fantastic desert the chef dubbed a “Gooey Pumpkin Cake”.

The buffet selection changes from day to day but the entrees are pretty steady according to Ruiz. You can stop in on Monday for meatloaf, Tuesday for a Taco Bar, Wednesday for Country Fried Chicken, Thursday for Salisbury Steak, or Friday for Spaghetti.

Having the buffet style service, you can stop in on your lunch break and be in and out in no time without sacrificing your wallet or settling for greasy fast food.

Be sure to check out their buffet Monday through Friday from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm and enjoy great southern food!
