It’s time to lace up your corset and fire up your steam-powered time machine for some costume-clad fun at Renninger’s Antiques and Flea Market for the 5th Annual Steampunk & Industrial Show, October 15th and 16th from 9am-5pm.
What is Steampunk? It’s a fun and funky cosplay event that mashes up Victorian-era and Jules-Verne-style steam-powered fantasy, including costumes, weapons, art, and music. The festival boasts over 100 vendors, artists, musicians, and antique collectors, music performed by some of the best “Steampunk” musicians, Cog is Dead, Clockwork Knotwork, Sideshow Drummer, Florida Tribal Dance, Jig to a Milestone, John Babcock, and Phantasmagoria, a “High Tea” , the 3rd Annual Splendid teapot Race, horse and carriage rides, magic shows, a Giant Kaleidoscope, and as always an award for the Best Dressed visitors.
You can expect women dressed in corsets, taffeta skirts, leather boots and space-age goggles, men in leather top hats decked out with metal gears and medals, silk waistcoats, tailcoats, and spats. Its historic/ futuristic fun for all ages.
