GROVELAND – Groveland city officials proudly announced that the Wall That Heals will be arriving in Groveland on December 7th for its last stop on its 2016 tour.
The Wall That Heals is a mobile half-scale replica of the The Wall in Washington, D.C. with the names of thousands of soldiers who were killed in action.
The Wall will arrive escorted by a motorcade of patriotic veterans from all over the United States on Wednesday morning and will be on display along Crittenden Street near State Road 33 until December 11th. at 2:00 pm.
The Wall will be open to the general public 24 hours a day and will be free of charge.
A mobile Education Center will also be there to educate anyone who would like to know more about the memorial. It will also display cases full of photos of service members whose names are found on The Wall along with some items that were left at The Wall in Washington, D.C.
The Wall That Heals mobile memorial debuted in 1996 and has visited over 400 communities since then allowing millions of people a chance to pay tribute to the countless soldiers who fought valiantly for their country.
