SORRENTO – A Sorrento woman found herself behind bars after allegedly “beating up” her husband according to arrest reports.
34-year-old Elizabeth Nie was arrested early Tuesday morning just after 1:30 am after deputies responded to her home on Alameda Drive in Sorrento in reference to a 911 call from her husband who told dispatchers that Nie was “beating him up”, the report stated.
In the report, Nie’s husband told deputies that he and Nie were in a verbal argument over child care issues when Nie began to punch him in the back of the head.
When questioned, Nie reportedly admitted to punching her husband in the back of the head twice but claimed that she “barely exerted any force” and was in disbelief that he had contacted law enforcement.
Nie told deputies that the argument began when her husband was watching their 2-year-old son and she found the toddler walking around the home.
Nie was arrested and transported to the Lake County Jail. She was charged with domestic battery.
Nie was released Tuesday evening after posting a $1,000 bond.
