EUSTIS, Fla – Alee Academy will be hosting a yard sale fundraiser to benefit gunshot and domestic violence victim, Daliyah Lang, and her mother.
Daliyah was shot five times by her mother’s boyfriend on October 6. She remains in hospital care, and her mother has stated they will not be returning to the apartment where the attack took place. The family is in need of help with medical, housing, and storage costs.
Alee Academy, which Daliyah, a high school senior, had just started attending at the time of the incident, will be accepting donations for the yard sale fundraiser prior to Thursday, November 2. Those interested in donating who need items picked up can contact the school to make arrangements.
The sale will be held Friday, November 3 and Saturday, November 4 from 8 a.m to 4 p.m both days. Items will be sold both inside the school and out on the lawn. In addition to the yard sale, a car wash will be held simultaneously in the parking lot.
Anyone interested in donating items or make a monetary donation to the fundraiser is encouraged to contact Lilly Jenkins at (352) 357-9426. All proceeds raised from this yard sale and the car wash will go to help Daliyah and her mother with continued medical and housing expenses.
