Lake Panasoffkee Drug Bust Results in One Arrest, One Wanted

LAKE PANASOFFKEE – Members of the Sumter County Sheriff’s S.W.A.T. and Special Investigations Unit arrested a Lake Panasoffkee woman on multiple drug charges as a result of a narcotics search warrant Wednesday afternoon according to a press release.

The two teams stormed the home at 3169 CR 431N in Lake Panasoffkee to execute the search warrant and attempt to locate 41-year-old Brian Scott Johnson, a suspect in their drug investigation.

During the search of the home, officers were unable to locate Johnson but the search led to the arrest of 26-year-old Chelsea Ann Ware.

Ware was charged with possession of methamphetamines, possession of paraphernalia, and keeping a drug shop.

Ware was transported to the Sumter County Jail where she was held until she posted a $6,000 bond and was released Thursday morning.
