MOUNT DORA – For the 36th year, Mount Dora officials will host the Light Up Mount Dora event where they will light over two million sparkling lights throughout Donnelly Park.
Residents, businesses, and workers from Mount Dora Electric and the Parks and Recreation Department have been stringing the lights throughout the “Festival City” since mid-October in preparation for the highly anticipated holiday event.
The city will come alive with holiday spirit at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 25.
“The City of Mount Dora’s Christmas lights has been featured in Southern Living Magazine as a destination to visit for tradition and history,” stated Lisa McDonald, spokeswoman for the city.
The pre-show will begin at 4:30 p.m. in downtown Donnelly Park with dancers, traditional Christmas songs, performances, and more including a visit from Santa Claus himself!
