EUSTIS — A Eustis man was pronounced dead after being involved in a single vehicle accident while riding his 1986 Harley Davidson motorcycle according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Seagrape Avenue and Honeysuckle Street in Eustis at approximately 8:45 p.m. Sunday night.
A report issued by the troopers stated that it was unclear how the incident occurred since there were no witnesses, however, preliminary investigations show that 64-year-old Dwain Haymond was traveling eastbound on Seagrape Avenue near the intersection of Honeysuckle Street when for an unknown reason, Haymond dropped his motorcycle and was ejected from his seat.
Haymond was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Troopers are still investigating the incident and results of a blood-alcohol test are pending.
