FLORIDA — The 2018 Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday continues through until June 7 allowing Florida residents to purchase items necessary to properly prepare for this hurricane season such as batteries, lights, tarps, and more.
The holiday began on June 1 and will continue until Thursday, June 7. During this time, residents can purchase approved items tax-free at any retail location other than theme parks, entertainments complexes, public lodging establishments, or airports.
The 2018 Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday was passed by the Florida Legislator and signed into law by Governor Rick Scott.
