PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — Mount Dora’s Deputy City Clerk Misty Sommer was awarded the 2018 President’s Award at a conference for City Clerks in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
The Florida Association of City Clerks hosts the annual convention every year where they recognize members of the association for outstanding work. The President’s Award is awarded to members recognized by the association for their outstanding support of the association’s president throughout the year.
“Misty has been a constatnt rock for FACC (the association) members and an esceptional help to immediate Past-President Gwen Johns,” stated the association’s President Pamela Latimore. “We appreciate Misty’s loyalty and dedication to FACC.”
Sommer began her role as the Deputy City Clerk for Mount Dora in 2014 and shortly after became a member of the association.
