DUNNELLON, Fla. — An accident that occurred in Dunnellon Thursday morning left two men in serious condition according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

Troopers responded to the intersection of US Highway 41 and SW 102nd Street Road in Dunnellon at approximately 6:58 a.m. after receiving calls about a collision.

According to the report, 31-year-old Dunnellon resident Allison Costa was traveling eastbound in her 2006 Honda Civic on SW 102nd Street Road when she attempted to turn onto US Highway 41.

At the same time, a 1996 Chevrolet Pickup Truck was traveling southbound on US Highway 41 approaching the intersection where Costa was coming out of.

Costa reportedly failed to yield to the pickup truck and struck the truck on the passenger side causing it to overturn onto its side.
