Recently accused of money laundering, tax fraud, witness tampering and more, Robert Mueller has a plea hearing scheduled for 11 a.m. EST Friday after filing a new criminal indictment against Paul Manafort.
This deal would result in reducing the charges against President Trump’s former chairman from seven counts to only two – A significant drop.
Those charges being Conspiracy Against the U.S. and Conspiracy to Obstruct Justice.
However, observers have cautioned that a guilty plea is not equal to an agreement to cooperate.
