Sumter County — An Ocala man was pronounced dead later Tuesday night at approximately 11 p.m. after crashing into a vehicle and trailer in Sumter County according to Florida Highway Patrol reports.
In the report, troopers stated that 23-year-old Jonathan Manfred Klein, was traveling northbound on County Road 471 near County Road 721 when the incident occurred.
Klein was reportedly driving his 2016 Yamaha motorcycle when he attempted to overtake the vehicle in front of him and collided with a trailer the vehicle was towing.
Troopers say Klein was ejected from his motorcycle upon impact and suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 72-year-old Lake Placid man, was not injured in the incident.
According to the report, Klein was wearing a helmet at the time.
