A Sorento man was arrested early Thursday morning after authorities were alerted by Google of digital files Google believed contained material depicting the sexual exploitation of a child according to arrest reports.
According to the report, the investigation began after the Florida Department of Law Enforcement receive a CyberTip generated by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The CyberTip showed a Google report that identified two files uploaded to a Google account registered to 47-year-old Jeremy Moore of Sorento as possibly containing sexual material involving a minor.
After inspecting the files, investigators confirmed that the two files contained video footage of two female children estimated to be 5 and 7 years of age in a sexual nature.
After an extensive investigation that began in February 2020, an arrest warrant was issued for Moore in July 2020.
Moore eventually turned himself in at the Lake County Jail just before 6 a.m. Thursday morning where he was booked and later released after posting a $10,000 bond.
Moore is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. on September 14.
