Accused Cop Killer, Markeith Loyd, Captured!

ORLANDO – The man accused of killing an Orlando police officer and his pregnant ex-girlfriend has been captured after several weeks on the run.

Loyd was captured Tuesday night just a short while after US Marshall’s raised the reward to $125,000, for any information leading to his arrest.

 

Loyd is shown in a video by @LSeabrookWFTV being led into the Orlando Police Department by Deputies and Orlando Police officers.

“They beat me up,” Loyd said as he was taken in.

Loyd was seen on camera with a bloody and swollen face as he was escorted into the building.

According to a tweet by OPD Chief John Mina, Loyd was arrested and cuffed using Lt. Debra Clayton’s handcuffs, the officer Loyd is accused of killing.

Orlando Police Chief John Mina announced that there will be a full press release with the details of his capture at 8:30 pm on Tuesday.
