MARION OAKS – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help from the public to identify two armed men who robbed the Dollar General in Marion Oaks Manor.
According to a Facebook post on the Marion County Sheriff’s Office fan page, deputies responded to the call Monday night to find that a black male and a white male both described as being in their twenties, entered the Dollar General and robbed the employees at gunpoint.
A customer who was shopping in the store with her 9-year-old daughter was ordered to the ground at gunpoint by one of the suspects.
Employees from the store stated that the black male was wearing all black and had a bandana across his face and the white male was wearing dark gray and also had his face covered. Both suspects were described as average height and slight build.
The suspects were seen leaving the scene in a black passenger car with what witnesses described as “horizontal tail lights”.
Officials believe the suspects are familiar with the Marion Oaks area and are urging residents to be cautious as the suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
