CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. — According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, a Citrus Springs man died from injuries sustained during a car crash this past Sunday. Two vehicles were involved with injuries varying from fatal to minor.
The Report states that at 3:05 p.m. on North Citrus Avenue and Wisconsin Court, 21-year-old Nicholas Schwartz was driving southbound on North Citrus Avenue approaching Wisconsin Court. While driving he hydroplaned on the wet roadway causing him to cross the centerline and strike a vehicle that was traveling northbound.
Schwartz hit a 2017 Silverado Chevrolet driven by 75-year-old Linda Parrish with 82-year-old Rufus Parrish as the passenger, both from Homosassa.
All involved in the accident had been transported to an area hospital.
The driver of the second vehicle suffered serious injuries while her passenger received minor injuries.
Schwartz passed away later due to injuries that he received from the accident.
Next of kin has been notified for Schwartz. Both Linda and Rufus Parrish did not have next of kin to notify.
The report indicated that all parties were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the incident.
