SORRENTO, Fla. — Deputies of the Lake County Sheriff’s Department along with members of the department’s Crime Scene Investigations team executed a search warrant on Thursday that resulted in the arrest of a registered sex offender according to police.
The warrant was issued after detectives showed the judge probable cause that the suspect committed sexual battery on a 14-year-old child.
The victim told detectives that the suspect had also recorded some of the sexual acts on video.
During their search, deputies found recording devices, a large amount of ammunition, and a model 19 semi-automatic .45 cal handgun.
The suspect, 41-year-old Shone Tolliver, was arrested and charged with possession of

firearm by a convicted felon, sexual battery, and capital sexual battery.
Tolliver was transported to the Lake County Jail where he remains without bond and is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. on October 8.
Tolliver was arrested in Lake County in July of 2010 for failing to report a change of name or address as a registered sex offender.
Deputies stated additional charges are pending once police can search Tolliver’s phone.
