Deputies raise reward to $10k for homicide suspect

BUSHNELL – Sumter County Deputies increased the reward amount for a homicide suspect to a total of $10,000 according to the department’s spokeswoman Michelle Keszey.

Keszey stated in a press release on Monday afternoon that the reward was increased by an additional $5,000 after the department contributed to the initial $5,000 provided by the United States Marshals Service and the Florida/Carribean Regional Fugitive Task Force.

The $10,000 reward will be offered to anyone that can provide information which directly leads to the arrest of Larry Darnell Peavy.

Peavy has active warrants for kidnapping, sexual assault, and premeditated homicide charges.

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Department and U.S. Marshals are following all leads and are asking anyone with information on Peavy’s whereabouts to come forward.

If you have any information about Peavy’s whereabouts, you can contact the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office at (352) 793-2621 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).
