Deputies Seek Help Identifying Possible Vehicle Burglary Suspects

LEESBURG, Fla. — Lake County deputies are asking for help from residents in identifying a suspect caught on camera allegedly attempting to burglarize vehicles in the Bassville Park area of Leesburg.

According to a post on the Lake County Sheriff’s Instagram account, the above-pictured suspect was caught on a resident’s surveillance camera attempting to break into a vehicle.

Deputies stated the suspect in the surveillance video was accompanied by 4 other suspects.

The video shows the suspect wearing a light-colored hoodie and a backpack as he/she walks down the road just before walking onto a resident’s property and pulling out a flashlight to look inside the homeowner’s vehicle.

The suspect, after realizing the vehicle was locked, left the property and continued walking down the street.
