Fruitland Park Woman Arrested for Third DUI After Accident in Leesburg

LEESBURG – A Fruitland Park woman was arrested and charged with her third DUI after Leesburg Police responded to a traffic accident involving two vehicles Thursday at the corner of Indian Trail and US Highway 27.

According to witnesses, 54-year-old Patricia Henson Hall was traveling on Indian Trail and crossed over Highway 27 when she was struck by a vehicle driving southbound on US 27.

During the investigation of the accident, officers detected an odor of alcohol coming from Hall. When asked if she had consumed any alcoholic beverages, Hall told officers she only had one beer “about and hour and a half ago”.

Hall was arrested and taken to the Leesburg Police Department after officers conducted a series of field sobriety tests.

While there, Hall agreed to a legal breath test. Officers conducted the test twice on Hall, the first time blowing a .182 and the second a .162. Hall then told officers that she had begun drinking 2 Yuenglings at 7:50 am until 12:45 pm.

Hall was booked and charged with her third DUI in over ten years and transported to the Lake County Jail where she is being held on a $5,000 bond. She is expected to appear in court on September 28th at 8:00 am.
