FORT MCCOY, Fla. — A 64-year-old male resident of Eustis was transported to the Florida Hospital in Ocala with minors injuries after the semi he was driving suffered a rollover crash.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, the driver was traveling southbound on County Road 315 approaching a right curve in the roadway near the intersection of NE 247 Lane when he tried to overcorrect the direction of the vehicle causing the truck to overturn and skid across both travel lanes on County Road 315.
The truck came to a final rest on its driver’s side on the east grassy shoulder just south of the above intersection.
Marion County Fire Rescue extracted the driver and transported him to the nearest medical facility where he was treated for minor injuries received during the incident.
According to the report, the driver faces careless driving charges.
