CITRUS COUNTY – Officials from Citrus County are opening two sandbag filling stations today after a flood watch was issued for Citrus, Levy, Hernando, and Pasco Counties. The flood watch is currently in effect from now through Tuesday morning.
Citrus County officials expect flooding along the west side of the county. To help residents prepare, the Citrus County Public Works will be opening two sandbag filling locations on Sunday.

The locations will be at 7490 W. Gulf to Lake Hwy in Crystal River and 4508 South Grandmarch Avenue in Homosassa Springs. The two sandbag filling locations will open Sunday 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm and will reopen Monday at 8:00 am.
The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office urges residents to take precautions for protective measures and to monitor local forecast reports for possible flood warnings. Residents living on the west side of Citrus County should be prepared to take action if the flooding starts to develop.
