TAVARES —All offices of the Lake County Board of County Commissioners, Clerk of Courts, Property Appraiser, Supervisor of Elections and Tax Collector will be closed Monday, Jan. 16 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Offices will reopen with regularly scheduled hours on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
Lake County’s Solid Waste residential curbside collection will operate as normal and the Central Landfill Facility, located at 13130 County Landfill Road, Tavares, will be open on the holiday. However, the Solid Waste call center will be closed.
LakeXpress, Lake County’s public transportation service, will not operate on Jan. 16. Lake County Connection, Lake County’s paratransit service, will provide only life-sustaining medical trips such as to and from dialysis appointments, on the federal holiday.
The Lake County Extension Center and Discovery Gardens, located at 1951 Woodlea Road, Tavares, will be closed.
