Lake County Seeks Input From Residents on Future Parks, Recreation, and Trails

EUSTIS – Officials with the Lake County Parks and Trails Division are seeking input from Lake County residents for future parks, recreation, and trails according to a press release.

In the release, Lake County Board of County Commissioners spokeswoman, Elisha Pappacoda wrote, “Lake County Parks & trails is in the process of updating its comprehensive master plan, which will be used as an overall guide to the development and operation of parks & trails facilities offering active and passive recreation, paved trails and boat ramps over the next decade.”

Residents from all over Lake County including those that live in municipalities and unincorporated areas of the county are invited to attend a workshop to learn about the master planning process and also to share their vision of what the future of Lake County’s recreation will look like.

The first workshop meeting will be held in Eustis on Thursday, December 8th at 6:00 pm at the Eustis Community Center located at 601 Northshore Drive in Eustis.

Other workshops will be held in other areas of Lake County starting in January. The dates, times, and locations of the other meetings will be announced once they are determined.

For more information on the workshop, residents can contact the Lake County Parks & Trails Division by calling (352)343-4950.
