LSSC Announces Fall Semester Course Schedules

Lake Sumter State College announced and already begun their 2018-2019 Fall Schedule.

The Fall withdrawal deadline is October 29.

Their full academic and registration calendar has been set and is available online through the Summer B schedule, which is August 8.

The Fall and Spring schedules are both 16 weeks and Summer A and B are 7 weeks, with a Summer AE schedule for 14 weeks.

Lake Sumter State College also offers continuing education courses which are non-credit courses offered to “support or enhance business, industry, government and general recreation in the communities of Lake and Sumter Counties”.

The continuing education courses are located at both Leesburg and South Lake Campus locations.

The following is a list of the Continuing Education Courses available:

  1. Retirement Planning Solutions
  2. Dental Assisting
  3. Florida Child Care Professional Credential
  4. Certified Personal Trainer
  5. Jazz Band
  6. Beginner’s Spanish 1
  7. Beginner’s Spanish 2 (Conversational)

Lake Sumter State College was founded in 1962 and serves greater than 6,000 students at 3 locations, South Lake Campus in Clermont, Leesburg Campus in Leesburg, and Sumterville. Lake Sumter State College does offer both certificate and degree programs and has a DirectConnect partnership with the University of Central Florida, that those students graduating with an Associate in Arts degree are guaranteed admission to UCF
