Leesburg Celebrates Annual National Night Out

LEESBURG — Leesburg Police Department as well as many sponsors put together a National Night Out for the community to enjoy. The event was held on Tuesday, Oct. 2nd from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at On Susan St, in Leesburg.

Many vendors came to show support along with offering free items for all of the families to take home. Gator World Parks of Florida came from Wildwood with baby gators from the park for people to enjoy, and even hold for photo ops.

There were plenty of activities to enjoy such as Rock Wall Climbing, Bungee Jumping, Basketball, even corn hole. VIA Port came to show support with games, and free card give-a-ways with credits to enjoy at the entertainment center located at the Lake Square Mall in Leesburg.

The swat team allowed children to climb up inside of their swat truck to get an up close, and personal feel for what they do on a day to day basis. Leesburg Fire Department was giving away sticker badges along with free fire hats.

The purpose of the event was for the community to come together and succeeded with a very successful event.
