LEESBURG, Fla. – School is almost out in Lake County and Leesburg Officials want to make sure parents and children enjoy a safe summer by hosting a water safety day this weekend at the Venetian Gardens pool.
The event will be held on Saturday, May 20 starting at 10:00 a.m. untilĀ 1:00 p.m. and will include activities such as swimming safety lessons, a free open swim session, door prizes, a mock water rescue, canoe rides, CPR demonstrations, and more.
Leesburg Recreation Department officials will be accepting registrations for their summer swimming lessons which begin on May 30. Classes are available to people of all ages and swimming abilities.
To register, children must be present and prepared to demonstrate any swimming ability in the pool. Children under that age of 18 must have an adult present throughout the duration of the event.
