The suspect appears to cooperate initially when officers commanded him to show his hands, however, immediately puts his hands down and appears to reach into his waistband area.
The suspect then refuses to comply with further commands to show both of his hands, the report stated, keeping one hand hidden from the officer.
During the incident, the suspect suddenly bolts across the street as he fires a shot toward the officer, missing the officer and striking the windshield of the patrol vehicle.
K-9 deputies and officers from Leesburg and Lake County as well as the Lake County Aviation Unit conducted a search of the area blocking off several streets but were unable to locate the suspect.
Although an official description has not yet been released, the video shows that the suspect is possibly a young white male with what appears to be some facial hair.
