LSSC Announces October & November ’18 Courses

LEESBURG — Lake-Sumter State College continues to offer Continuing Education courses to the public. These are non-credit classes and can be used to improve your business, general skills, industry, or used for general recreation in Lake and Sumter Counties.

LSSC has added 5 courses for the October and November schedules.

WRITE YOUR LIFE
This program consists of a variety of short sections that examine your life from differing perspectives. It is geared toward seniors with little or no formal writing experience. Offered at the Leesburg Campus. Registration deadline October 9th.

 

SECURITY OFFICER “D” LICENSE
This program is a 40-hour training class that will teach students the basic principles of security, including physical security, access control, terrorism awareness, and emergency procedures. Offered at the Leesburg Campus. Registration deadline for November 5th.

 

CONTINUING SPANISH, STARTING CONVERSATIONS (SPANISH 2)

Must have taken beginning Spanish or know the fundamentals of Spanish. Offered at the South Lake Campus. Registration deadline October 16th.

 

OPERATION OF AN EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER (DIRECTOR CREDENTIAL)

This 45-hour noncredit course will fulfill the requirements for the foundational level credentials for directors/administrators of childcare centers, as set forth by Florida Children’s Forum. Offered at Sumter Center. Registration deadline October 24th.

 

EXPANDED FUNCTIONS/RADIOLOGY CERTIFICATION
This program consists of a 32-hour Expanded Functions component and a 16-hour Radiology component. Offered at Sunrise Dental in Leesburg. Registration deadline November 17th.
