MINNEOLA, Fla. — Lake County deputies arrested a man on Wednesday after the man claimed to be working as an undercover federal agent according to a sheriff’s department spokesperson.
Deputies charged 31-year-old James Marshall Hoskinson with driving with a suspended driver’s license and selling heroin within 1000 feet of a place of worship or business.
Police detained Hoskinson after learning he was driving with a suspended license. While detained, Hoskinson reportedly told Street Crimes Deputies that he was working as an undercover Federal Agent multiple times before he was transported to the Lake County Jail.
Hoskinson also told deputies that he had some “items” hidden in the back of his pants.
When he was searched, deputies uncovered $900 in cash and 31 bags of heroin.
Hoskinson is currently being held at the Lake County Jail in lieu of a $40,000 bond.
He is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. on June 25.
