Two Motorcyclists Airlifted After Accident with Minivan in Leesburg

LEESBURG – Two people are in critical condition after their motorcycle struck a minivan Sunday morning around 10:00 am.

According to an officer on the scene, a motorcycle carrying two people struck a minivan carrying several people including children at the intersection of High and Main Streets in Leesburg.

The occupants of the minivan suffered minor injuries that were taken care of by paramedics.

Both people on the motorcycle were airlifted to separate hospitals with serious injuries. One was airlifted to Shands Hospital and the other to Orlando Regional Medical Center.

The crash is still under investigation and no official statement has been released yet.
