MOUNT DORA – Sara Evans, 15, has been missing since June 2.
Sara’s grandfather, Bob Evans, has been devastated since the teen ran away from home on June 2, and is seeking help from the community to find her and get her home safely.
Bob Evans and wife, Lucie Evans adopted Sara and have been raising her as their own daughter since birth.
The last conversation Bob Evans had with his granddaughter was on June 3 when she called him from a Racetrac gas station located south of I-4 on Orange Blossom Trail. She explained then, that she and a friend had taken a car and made plans to meet her grandfather at the Lowe’s in Apopka because she was returning home. Unfortunately, Sara never showed.
There have been some leads in her sightings at the Florida Mall and also in the Apopka area. Evans is asking for anyone who may have any information on Sara’s whereabouts to please contact their local police departments.
Anyone who knows of Sarah Evans’ location, or information that will help find her, is urged to call the National Center For Missing & Exploited Children hotline, (800-843-5678) or their local police departments. There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to her safe return.
