Thieves Make Off with Almost $1k Worth of Nail Polish from Wal-Mart

OCALA – Marion County Deputies are searching for two suspects who made off with almost $1,000 worth of nail polish from a Wal-Mart store last week, according to a post on the Sheriff Department’s Facebook page.

Deputies say that a black female and a black male entered the store located in Silver Springs Shores on December 7th and stole 112 bottles of nail polish totaling up to $976.64 worth.

A Wal-Mart surveillance video shows the pair walking into the store and also shows the black male acting as a lookout for the female as she opened her purse and began placing handfuls of the cosmetics.

After concealing the bottles in her purse, the suspects left the store in a dark-colored late model sedan.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of the suspects shown in the video to contact Detective Stephen Juliano at (352)402-6000 or report it anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers of Marion County at (352)368-STOP and reference case 16-122.
