MOUNT DORA, Fla. — A Lake County school bus driver was hospitalized after a collision at the intersection of Wolf Branch Road and Britt Road according to a press release issued by Mount Dora city officials.
According to officials, the bus driver was traveling on Wolf Branch Road at approximately 9 a.m. Wednesday morning after dropping students off at a local middle school when a Nissan Sentra pulled onto Wolf Branch Road from Britt Road and was struck by the bus.
The bus driver was transported to Waterman Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the driver of the Nissan was airlifted to Orlando Medical Regional Center with serious injuries.
The drivers of both vehicles have not been identified and the crash is still currently under investigation.
