MOUNT DORA, Fla. – Two people were airlifted to local hospitals after a shooting that occurred at the Wal-Mart in Mount Dora located on the corner of US Highway 441 and Eudora Road according to Mount Dora Police spokeswoman Lisa McDonald.
Officers responded to the store after receiving calls reporting multiple gunshots around 9:23 p.m. Friday night.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was shot in the back and the other was shot in the knee.

One of the victims was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center while the other was airlifted to Central Florida Regional Medical Center.
Although the incident occurred in the parking lot, some shoppers reported that employees announced over the intercom to evacuate the store leaving only Wal-Mart employees in the store.
Officers are still on scene investigating and the shooter(s) has not been caught.
