LEESBURG – Leesburg Police has identified the victims in a three-car accident that occurred early Friday morning on Citrus Boulevard in front of Wells Fargo.
According to a press release, Leesburg Police, firefighters, and Lake EMS responded to a call at 6:25 am Friday morning in reference to an accident.
The initial investigation of the accident shows that a white 2003 Ford Mustang driven by 36-year-old Domain James, was traveling north on Citrus Blvd when the vehicle crossed over into the southbound lanes striking a blue 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by 55-year-old Danny Bal and a 2013 silver Chevrolet Equinox driven by 46-year-old Anthony Ferrara.
Bal and Ferrara were transported to local hospitals by Lake EMS for treatment.
The accident caused traffic to be rerouted down Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd and had a section of Citrus Blvd closed for approximately three and a half hours.
