West Port High Investigating Threat Found on Social Media

OCALA, Fla. — Law enforcement is investigating the threat and the school is not under a code yellow, informed the District office of Marion County Public School at 10:45 a.m. today.

West Port High School is one of eight public high schools in Marion County. Founded in 2000 and constructed at 3733 SW 80th Avenue, West Port is the district high school for West Ocala. The campus formerly housed both West Port Middle and High Schools.

As the investigation reveals more information that would be released into the community through the authorities.

Just 3 weeks ago, a 16-year-old student was arrested at the same West Port High School in Ocala where police said they found a stolen gun in his backpack.
