WILDWOOD, Fla. — Deputies with the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office arrested a woman late Friday night and charged her with drug trafficking charges after reportedly finding 2.21 pounds of methamphetamine, 170 grams of heroin, and over $5,000 in cash during a traffic stop.
According to a press release, deputies conducted the traffic stop on a 2018 Cadillac XTS driven by 32-year-old Allison Nicole Valdez near the southbound on-ramp on State Road 44 and I-75.
During the traffic stop, a K-9 alerted deputies to the odor of narcotics coming from Valdez’s vehicle.
Deputies discovered the narcotics and cash during their search.
Valdez was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine, trafficki9ng heroin, and maintaining a drug shop/vehicle.
She was transported to the Sumter County Jail where she was later released after posting a $51,000 bond.
