Summer vacation may have just begun but back-to-school season is right around the corner. Along with back-to-school season is also our favorite weekend.<\/p>\n
Tax-Free weekend, a\u00a0weekend consumers shop\u00a0for school supplies<\/a>, clothing and\u00a0computers without having to pay sales\u00a0tax<\/a>. But this year\u00a0you may notice a few changes to the Tax-Free weekend\u00a0list.<\/p>\n Some of the items you were looking forward to purchasing may no longer be on the list while others may have a lower limit.<\/p>\n To cut back on property taxes<\/a>, Florida lawmakers decided to scale back on the tax-free holiday. Clothing and shoes which had a cap of $100 each last year, will now have a cap of $60 each.<\/p>\n School supplies will still be\u00a0tax-free\u00a0up to $15 each. Most school supply items still qualify but others like staplers and computer paper do not.<\/p>\n Computers and computer accessories<\/a> will no longer be tax-free eligible. Last year, shoppers saved big on personal computers<\/a> up to $750 each as well as accessories to go along with them. This year, we will not be looking forward to those\u00a0savings.<\/p>\n While you may not see the savings in taxes, you still have an opportunity to save. Lawmakers state there should be no\u00a0issues with using coupons or taking advantage of B.O.G.O. deals.<\/p>\n You will also be able to shop online and still take advantage. According to officials, sales tax should not be charged on online orders. Even if those orders are delivered after the holiday weekend.<\/p>\n
