LEESBURG –\u00a0<\/strong>Riders from all over joined together at Gator Harley-Davidson<\/a>\u00a0Saturday afternoon to show their support and stories of a fellow motorcycle rider, Lori Dudley.<\/p>\n

Dudley was the victim of a hit-and-run accident in Leesburg<\/a> while taking her 2001 Harley out for a spin. Jose Omar Azua was the driver of the vehicle that struck Dudley’s motorcycle while she was stopped at a red light. Azua was possibly intoxicated<\/a> and fled the scene after the incident.<\/p>\n

Azua turned himself in a couple of days after the collision and has since been released after posting a $35,000 cash bond. Azua is expected to appear in court for arraignment on September 19 at 8:30 am in Judge Nacke’s courtroom where he faces felony charges of vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident involving a death.<\/p>\n

Family members, friends and many other people that knew Dudley showed up to pay their respects and show their support. Under a canopy, they gathered and told stories about Lori and how she affected their lives.<\/p>\n

A moment of silence was held, followed by a prayer to keep Lori in the hearts of those who knew her and above all to find justice for her.<\/p>\n

Over 100 people attended the memorial. Some rode in on their own bikes. They all had the same to say, “Lori was a wonderful woman…she lived to ride her Harley.”
