Leesburg, Fla. – <\/b>A man was airlifted with serious injuries after a jet ski accident at Ski Beach Sunday afternoon according to witnesses.<\/p>\n
Witnesses told Central Florda Wire that the man was riding on the back of a jet ski when he was thrown off into the water.<\/p>\n
According to one witness, several people along with the victim were “bumping” their jetskis into each other which is when the victim was ejected from the watercraft.<\/p>\n
After landing in the water, the victim reportedly floated there when two jetskis “bumped” each other pinning the victim in the middle.<\/p>\n
A bystander noticed the victim floating in the water and quickly jumped in to rescue the man.<\/p>\n
Witnesses stated that when they pulled him from the water, the victim had severe injuries to his right arm.<\/p>\n
Several bystanders rendered first aid to the victim until EMS could arrive.<\/p>\n
The victim was then airlifted to a Ocala Regional Medical Center.<\/p>\n
Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission officers are still investigating the incident.<\/p>\n
An official report has not yet been released<\/p>\n
