The distinction is one of three progressive award levels through the National Quality Award Program, presented by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA\/NCAL), the leading association for long-term and post-acute care. The program honors association members across the nation that have demonstrated their commitment to improving the quality of care for seniors and <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">persons with disabilities<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201c<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">It\u2019s an honor to be recognized for our commitment to delivering quality care,\u201d said Deborah Brazill, Administrator and owner of Villages Rehab &amp; Nursing Center, \u201cGoing through the process of achieving the Bronze Award has made our organization stronger.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ahcancal.org\/quality_improvement\/quality_award\/Pages\/default.aspx\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">National Quality Award Program<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">, which AHCA\/NCAL established in 1996, is based on the core values and criteria of the <\/span><\/span><\/span><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">which is also the foundation of the metric-based <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ahcancal.org\/quality_improvement\/qualityinitiative\/Pages\/default.aspx\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">AHCA\/NCAL Quality Initiative<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The Baldrige program helps organizations in different business sectors improve and achieve performance excellence.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">The Award Program has three levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Providers begin the quality improvement process at the Bronze level, where they develop an organizational profile with essential performance elements such as vision, mission statement, and key strengths and challenges. Bronze applicants must also demonstrate their ability to implement a performance improvement system. Trained Examiners review each Bronze application to determine if the center has met the demands of the criteria. As a recipient of the <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><i>Bronze &#8211; Commitment to Quality Award<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">, <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Villages Rehab &amp; Nursing Center <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">may now move forward in developing approaches and achieving performance levels that meet the <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><i>Silver &#8211; Achievement in Quality Award <\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">criteria.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201c<span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">I commend Villages Rehab <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">for<\/span><\/span><\/span><b> <\/b><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">embarking on the journey to quality improvement<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">,\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> said the AHCA\/NCAL National Quality Award Board of Overseers Chair Alana Wolfe. \u201cI encourage <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Villages Rehab<\/span><\/span><\/span><b> <\/b><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">to continue to build on the strong foundation it has created.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Senator Baxley will be visiting Villages Rehab on June 20 at 11:00 to commend them on the accomplishment.
